Matisse-Inspired Summer Still Life

This month’s Art Brunch is inspired by the decorative still lifes of Henri Matisse and contemporary illustration.

Together, we will explore expressive colour combinations, bold shapes, and playful compositions to create a vibrant artwork full of summer energy. It’s a perfect opportunity to unwind, experiment, and discover how beautiful art can be when we let go of perfection and simply enjoy the creative process.

A glimpse of one of the exceptional pieces presently being handled in our studio.

This Artwork is from the late 18th - early 19th Century . It is painted in oil on panel. Note the markings at the back. It is attributed to the works of Swiss Artist Abraham Louis Rodolphe Ducros.

The Picture Frame is definitely from the same period but it has not been Hand Painted and gilded. The Glass is a museum grade Art Glass.
