They have been shared with friends and family, at important life events, but, apart from a few publications with the United Press, never with a broader circle. As I approach my 40th birthday, I am moved to share some of them on this platform...maybe others also...
My style has evolved, developed and changed over the years, from very intricate and elaborate, to uncluttered and down to earth. It re
flects the passage of time and the reality of getting older, I suppose. What has not changed is the childlikeness that is inherent to my work and the closeness I feel towards nature, which always inspires me. I come from a family of musicians and first trained as a singer and a flautist. I then turned towards acting and spent my early twenties training and participating in various projects. I completed my studies with a Masters in Movement and worked for some years as a Movement practitioner. I now teach movement to my children. I strongly believe that every artist should practice some movement discipline. Being in touch with one's body seems to me so essential, even necessary. The two artists that greatly influenced me are actress Pascale Vachoux, who was my Movement teacher in Geneva, and Daisy Cockburn, my Alexander Technique practitioner in London. These two ladies and amazing artists were so kind, generous, inspired and inspiring. I learned that doing art or anything with love for oneself and others always works so much better. It reaches farther, relaxes everyone and wins hearts. When I was younger, I would devour books, one after the other. Now, I read whenever I can. I am very interested in History and can be obsessed about a certain event or period until my thirst is quenched and my questions are answered. I love painting; it is such a peaceful and calming activity. I listen to classical music and enjoy especially the French impressionists. The only singer that I listen to is Lior. His harmonies and melodies always surprise or even fill me with awe. I love hiking and beholding the sea. I enjoy family time.
