Frida Kahlo–Inspired Clay Sculptures 🌺
After learning about Frida Kahlo’s life, art and distinctive style, the children created their own Frida-inspired clay sculptures.
They shaped and painted the clay to create Frida’s recognisable features, colourful clothing and expressive style. For the head, we made an opening in the clay and inserted a recycled yoghurt cup filled with floral oasis. The children then chose different flowers and arranged them to create beautiful, colourful floral headpieces inspired by the flowers often seen in Frida’s artwork and appearance.
To finish their sculptures, the children used recycled jewellery pieces to create earrings and necklaces, adding their own creative touches.
This project combined clay modelling, painting, floral arrangement and recycled materials, while encouraging the children to explore Frida Kahlo’s artistic style, Mexican-inspired colours and love of nature and flowers. 🌺🎨

Good morning, dear parents! 😊
I’ve now finished the timetable for the Autumn/Winter term for those who usually attend throughout the whole year.
If your child attended throughout the year and I haven’t added you to the respective group chat yet, please feel free to contact me privately so I can check.
I’ll also shortly be contacting those who attended the summer course and had shown interest in continuing during the Winter term.
Thank you! 🤍
