essional careers. Lessons are dedicated to improving the performing of lyrical works by different composers, chamber music, lieder in various styles and languages. During the Masterclasses special attention will be given to
Mozart W.Am. - Concert Arias and Arias from operas “Cosi fan tutte”,“Don Giovanni”,”Le Nozze di Figaro”, “The Magic Flute”
Lieder from Franz Schubert, Richard Strauss, Johaness Brahms, R. Wagner (“Wesendonck lieder”), G.Mahler , F. Menselsohn etc. Italian repertoire – Verdi , Puccini, Bellini, Donizetti and Italian art song
French repertoire – Bizet, Gounod, Massest and French art song
Russian and other Slavonic repertoire – Tchaykovsky, Rachmaninov,Dvorzak, Monusko and art song

For the advanced students dedicated to classical singing attention will be given to the 5 principles of singing:Voice, i.e. ear and physique,Sostenuto, i.e. breathing, vowel formation and resonance,Legato, i.e. the scale, light or dark tone and color,Flexibility, i.e. all florid singing,Phrasing, i.e. diction, expression, interpretation,Stage presence
The beginners will be introduces to basic techniques of the same principles but starting from simple exercises, phrases and songs according to the level of the students. Platform 2
The singers will be introduced to music-text relation of the piece and work in ensembles. The recitatives “accompagnato” and “secco” in the operas of Mozart will be given attention. The singing of arias in the scenic context will be a basic topic of the lessons. For pianists:
Active and passive piano accompaniment lessons for young pianists willing to learn the art of accompanying singers will be offered (applies till 11 July). The pianists will be given a chance to accompany the singers during the concerts. Dr.Hans Juergen Nagel
