On 19 May 1798, a massive expedition led by Napoleon Bonaparte sailed towards Malta, setting in motion the campaign that would lead to the French invasion of the archipelago - a moment that would alter the course of our islands’ history.

Today, on this very date, Mdina Resounds: Echoes of the City began its first journey in the Cathedral. Through story and music our first audience stepped into the tensions, beauty and resilience of a city that stood witness to history.
