這半年，每個早晨醒來的第一個感覺，是右腕深處傳來的僵硬與隱痛。六個月前的那次骨折，帶走的不僅是手腕的自由，還有許多習以為常的日常—流暢地寫字、輕鬆地提物、甚至只是轉動門把，更不用說繪畫 做設計和手作了。
復健室成了第二個家。從最初連湯匙都握不住的顫抖，到如今能勉強寫完一行字，每個微小的進步背後，是無數次咬著牙的拉伸與重量訓練。物理治療師總說「慢慢來」，醫生總說「進步很好」但身體的記憶卻急著想回到從前。那些反覆發炎的夜晚，看著依然腫脹的腕部，忍不住問自己：還要多久？
然而，時間不曾為誰停留。
新年已至，我帶著這隻還在復原中的手腕，走進了新的環境。工作室的風景不同了，復健的課表也調整了。
不變的是，每天早晨我依然舉起那顆輕了又輕的重量球，感受肌肉細微的顫抖與抵抗。
也許康復從來不是回到「原本的樣子」，而是學習與身體的新狀態共存。這隻手腕教會我的，是疼痛中的耐心，是限制裡的創造。新的一年，在新的桌前，我依然用有些笨拙的姿勢，握筆寫下第一個字。
路還很長，但還能向前走，便是值得感恩的事。謹以這段文字，獻給所有在復健路上堅持的你們—我們的進步或許以毫米計算，但每一步 都是奪回生活的英勇戰役。💪🏻
Every morning for the past six months, I wake to the same deep stiffness and dull ache in my right wrist. That fracture half a year ago took more than just the freedom of my hand—it took so many ordinary parts of life: writing smoothly, lifting things easily, even turning a doorknob.
The rehab room became a second home. From trembling too much to hold a spoon at the beginning, to now being able to shakily finish a line of writing—each tiny step forward came after countless stretches and weight training sessions done through gritted teeth. My physical therapist always says, “Take it slow,” but my body’s memory keeps rushing to go back to how things were. On those nights when the inflammation flared up again, looking at the still-swollen wrist, I couldn’t help but ask: How much longer?
But time waits for no one. The new year has arrived, and I’ve stepped into a new environment with this still-healing wrist. The view outside my studio is different now, and my rehab routine has been adjusted, too. What hasn’t changed is that every morning, I still lift that ever-so-light weight ball, feeling the subtle tremble and resistance in my muscles.
Perhaps recovery never means returning to “how things were,” but learning to live with this new state of the body. This wrist has taught me patience in pain and creativity within limits. Here, by this new window in a new year, I’m still holding the pen in a somewhat clumsy grip, writing my first word.
The road is still long, but being able to move forward is something to be grateful for. I dedicate these words to all of you persevering on your own rehab journeys. 💪🏻
