Our Story
On’n Off Production LLC is the first video advertising company in Mongolia established in 1993 as a cooperative, and later incorporated as a limited liability company in 2001 under the Company Law of Mongolia. Its portfolio boasts of video advertisements, music videos, public relations campaigns, successful marketing consultancies, documentary and feature films, stage concerts and shows, print designs, studio records and radio advertisements.
We work with all prominent artists and bands of the Mongolian music scene.
Since its establishment, On’n Off has produced over 700 video advertisements, over 100 music videos, 100 plus staged shows and concerts, ten musicals, and over thirty documentary films. On’n Off was the sole organizer and producer of Pentatonic, the most prestigious music awards festival in Mongolia, since 1994.
On’n Off produced three New Year musicals called “Tsenher Delgets” between 2000 and 2003 with each musical involving over 800 artists, broadcast on Mongolian National Broadcaster and UBS channels throughout the country.
On’n Off made television history in Mongolia through its series of talk shows in 2000 when it was contracted by the Open Society Institute of Mongolia to execute a series of television talk show “Adolescence” targeting teenagers, their families and teachers. These talk shows were broadcast throughout the country on Mongolian National Broadcaster and UBS channels, and made a history of television by being broadcast four times by the popular demand of viewers.
One of the company’s historic achievements is its invaluable contribution to the development of live music scene in Mongolia: On’n Off organized the first live music festival, the “Freedom of Live Music”, in 2004 and has been the organizer and producer of “Coke’n Beat” live music festival together with Coca-Cola company and the YAMAHA Total Music Center since 2007, whose winners represent Mongolia at the Yamaha Asian Beat international live music festival.
On’n Off was honored by the Government of Mongolia to act as the executive producer of the 800th anniversary commemoration of Mongolia’s statehood in 2006. The event marking the 800th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire establishment was historic, with the array of events broadcast live from five theaters by five different television channels. On’n Off was not only the organizer and producer of this event; it also raised over 200 million tugrik for the commemoration activities. It again was tasked with the honor in 2010 to organize the commemoration of the 804th anniversary of Mongolia’s statehood and 89th anniversary of the revolution in Mongolia, as well as the Naadam Festival launch and conclusion concerts.
Since 2008 On’n Off has been organizing annual charity concerts “Say Yes for Children”, the proceeds of which go to children suffering from cancer. Over 30 children have so far benefited from treatments made possible through this charity event.
On’n Off was contracted by the Ministry of Education in 2009 to produce a music video with historic footage for the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Halkh River battle. Resulting music video “Legendary 39” became one of the most sought after music videos of the year.
In 2010 On’n Off organized a highly acclaimed concert by three-time Grammy winner band Ozomatli in conjunction with the embassy of the USA in Mongolia.
Having made its lasting history in Mongolia, On’n Off is now known internationally. It was the main organizer of the Mongolian Cultural Days in November 2010 in the Congress Hall Theater of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, as well as in the Bolshoi Theater of Moscow, and organized concerts of Arga Bileg ethno-jazz band in the Zolotoye Koltso Theater in Moscow and Komisarjevsky Theater in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
In 2011 January, Mongolia education sector was commemorating its 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Teacher’s Day, and On’n Off was the main organizer of this important event.
Now under On’n’Off Production House there is iM Studio where the former Voice of Mongolia contestants have been signed as artists, a music school called 4Goodness along with Caelum Caferante. On’n’Off strives for excellence, quality and authenticity in all of our work.
