🇲🇳 The Mongolia Pavilion proudly presents "Entanglements: Connectivities Across Borders", an exhibition that foregrounds Mongolia's historic Eurasian connections and demonstrates how centuries of diplomacy, trade, and cultural exchange continue to inform contemporary artistic practice. Led by curator Dr. Uranchimeg Tsultem and co-curator Thomas Eller, the Pavilion features works by four artists — Nomin Bold, Gerelkhuu Ganbold, Tuguldur Yondonjamts, and Dorjderem Davaa - whose practices engage with spiritual diversity, human–nonhuman relations, and the movement of materials and ideas across continents.
Set in Venice—a city historically linked to thirteenth-century figures such as Marco Polo and Pietro Veglione, both of whom forged key alliances with the Mongol Empire—the Pavilion draws a compelling arc between imperial-era networks and the present-day climate of geopolitical division. In doing so, it offers a counter-narrative grounded in shared histories and creative resilience. In alignment with the Biennale Arte 2026 theme, La Biennale di Venezia In Minor Keys, the exhibition invites audiences to consider art as a conduit for dialogue and connection across time and borders.
