My mother derives from the Northern Territory & Mparntwe (Alice Springs) where her family resided. My connection with the land & Aboriginal culture links directly with the Central Arrernte people, the traditional owners of Mparntwe. After spennding most of my childhood across many cities & small towns across Australia, I completed a majority of my education in the small Pilbara town of Paraburdoo

in Western Australia. I started to learn my families culture & history throughout the last 10 years from my family & visiting Mparntwe. It was during this time that my art career started to form, where i articulate & express my learnings through painting. I have submitted art into the Cossack Art Awards festival & Dampier Art Awards this year.

Exciting news! The Junior Ranger program is expanding with new projects launching across every state and territory. These on-Country learning opportunities are changing lives - keeping kids engaged in school while connecting them to culture and Country.

The program's hands-on approach to learning is making a real difference, showing young people they have a future in caring for Country. Students are thriving with this mix of traditional knowledge and practical skills.

Let's support our next generation of land custodians! Applications are open now - check out Grant Connect for details https://www.grants.gov.au

Today marks the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. This year’s theme is ‘Protecting the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in Voluntary Isolation and Initial Contact’.

On this day, we acknowledge the traditional owners of country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.

A few photos of NAIDOC Week 2024 at Goodstart Early Learning Baldivas.
I really enjoyed spending time with these little people and guiding them to express themselves through art.
Thank you to the Kindy kids for my Thank you poster 🙌🥰
While exploring all the native flowers and bush tucker, most of the kids loved the River mint.
To say thank you I have left a little memory of our time and gifted them a pot plant with their story and the River Mint.
Thank you to everyone at Good Start Early Learning for inviting me to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2024 as we keep the fire burning 🔥
More photos to come 🥰
