We work with local artisans and ethical small businesses all over Myanmar to produce traditional ethnic handicrafts. dacco.はミャンマー各地の織物や手仕事品、オリジナル雑貨などを扱っているヤンゴンにある雑貨店です。2021年5月末には日本にコンセプトストアをオープンいたしました。

近年ミャンマーでは安価な工業製品の流入や国内外への出稼ぎが増加するなどの影響で、地域の伝統文化や手仕事が急速に失われつつあります。特に伝統的な織物等はその影響が顕著です。そのような状況の中『ミャンマーの各地域で守り伝えられてきた伝統文化の継承と発展』『生産者の生計向上』『ミャンマー産品の発信』をテーマに、ものづくりや店舗運営を行っています。

代々受け継がれてきた伝統の手工芸の技術と思い。

We have updated the size of our Chin textile briefcase.

To suit modern, smaller laptops, the bag is now about half an inch more compact. The new size is 15 inches long and 10 inches wide. As shown in the photo, it still comfortably fits a laptop, A4 documents, and essentials such as chargers.

Inside, there are pockets and dividers to help keep everything organized. Each bag is made using beautiful handwoven textiles from Chin State.

We are also planning to add leather handles in the future, but for now we hope you enjoy the warm, handcrafted character of the bag.

We were honored to welcome Mr.Seison Mozumi , a leading master of Japanese calligraphy (書道), who is currently in for a cultural exchange project.

He kindly wrote the words “Peace and Tranquility(平和・安寧）” on a piece of Myanmar papier mache for us. It is now displayed above the cashier at our main shop, so please take a look when you visit.

As we pray for peace and tranquility in Myanmar and around the world, we also dream that one day Myanmar’s traditional artisans will travel abroad to share their skills and heritage, just as Mozumi san has done✨

With hope in our hearts, we continue our journey.
