2024년도 한국 정부초청 외국인 대학원 장학생 모집 공고(2024 Global Korea Scholarship Application Notice for Graduate Degrees)
교육부 국립국제교육원에서 주관하는 2024년도 한국 정부초청 외국인 대학원 장학생 추천과 관련하여 미얀마 대상 공관전형 선발 관련 사항을 아래와 같이 알려드리오니, 관심있는 분들의 많은 지원을 바랍니다.
1. 목적(objective)
o 외국인 학생에게 대한민국의 고등교육기관에서 수학할 기회를 부여 함으로써 국제교육교류를 촉진하고 국가 간 우호증진을 도모하고자 함
Global Korea Scholarship is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea in pursuit of academic degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries
2. 모집 과정(Degree Programs)
o 석사(어학 1년+학위 2년)
Master's Degree(1 year of Korean language program+ 2 years of degree program)
o 박사(어학 1년+학위 3년)
Doctoral Degree(1 year of Korean language program + 3 years of degree program )
o 연구(6개월 또는 1년)
Research(6 months or 1 year)
3. 모집 전형 및 인원(Application Tracks and Quota)
o 공관전형(일반) 17명
Embassy Track(“General”) 17 persons
4. 지원 자격(eligibility)
o (국적) 지원자는 초청국(미얀마) 국적 소유자, 지원자와 부모 모두 외국 국적을 가진 외국인
All applicants must hold citizenship of NIIED designated countries that are invited to take part in the GKS program. Applicants' parents (or legal guardians) must hold citizenship from another country other than Korea.
o (연령) 40세 미만(1984.9.1. 이후 출생), ODA 수원국* 현직교수는 45세 미만(1979.9.1. 이후 출생)
All applicants must be under 40 years of age (born after September 1, 1984). Academic professors in one of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipients* who are under 45 years of age (born after September 1, 1979) are eligible to apply.
o (학위) 박사과정(석사학위 취득자), 석사과정(학사학위 취득자), 연구과정(박사 후 과정의 경우 박사학위, 교환교수의 경우 석사학위 이상, 전문가의 경우 석사학위 이상)
o (성적) 직전과정(*) 모든 학년 종합 성적이 다음 조건 중 하나를 충족하는 자
Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of the entire curriculum from the previous degree program* must meet one of the conditions below;
* 예) 지원하는 과정이 박사과정인 경우, 직전과정은 석사과정임
* For example, previous degree for a doctoral degree program applicant is a master's degree program
① 백분율 환산 점수 80% 이상 또는 석차 상위 20% 이내
Score percentile should be 80% or above on a 100-point scale or be ranked in the top 20% of one's class
② CGPA(*) 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, 3.23/5.0 이상
CGPA must be equal to or above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5 or 3.23/5.0
* CGPA: Cumulative Grade Point Average, 종합평균평점
5. 장학금 내역(Scholarship Benefits)
o 항공료, 등록금(학위과정인 경우), 학업 장려금(*)
* 생활비, 건강보험료, 한국어우수장학금, 토픽응시료, 연구비, 논문인쇄비, 정착지원금, 귀국지원금 등이 포함됨
※ Study Incentive : All-inclusive subsidy of Settlement Allowance, Monthly Allowance, Research Allowance, Korean Proficiency Grants, TOPIK Application Fee, Degree Completion Grants, Medical Insurance, and Publication Printing Fee
※ GKS Scholars who will be exempted the Korean language program with TOPIK level 5 or 6 will be given Korean Proficiency Grants automatically.

o 증빙 자료로 제출해야하는 서류(Certificates (Required))
- Applicant's/Parent(s)' Proof of Citizenship and family relationship Document
- Graduation Certificate (or Diploma)
- Degree Transcript
- Certificate of Employment(only applicable for professionals under research program)
- Proof of Overseas Korean Document/Proof of Korean Adoptee Document (if applicable)
- Proof of Korean Citizenship Renunciation Document (if applicable)
- Proof of Korean War Veteran's Descendant (if applicable)
o 기타 제출 서류(Other documents)
- Score report of valid TOPIK (original) or English Proficiency Test (copy)
- Awards and other certificates, etc. (copy)
- Applicant's Passport (copy)
* 위 언급된 증빙 서류가 미얀마어로 되어있는 경우, 미얀마어 서류와 영어 번역공증본을 함께 제출해야 함.
If the supporting documents mentioned above are in Myanmar, please submit both the original Myanmar documents and a notarized English translation together.
** 붙임 모집요강을 참고하여 서류를 제출하되, 모든 서류는 원본 1부만 제출하여야 함.
Refer to the attached application guidelines for document submission, ensuring that only one copy of all documents is submitted.
*** 붙임 모집요강의 안내 내용과는 다르게, 위 증빙 서류에 대해 영사확인을 받지 않아도 제출할 수 있음. 다만, 1차 심사(서류심사)와 2차 심사(면접심사)를 통과한 최종 합격자에 대해서는이미 제출한 증명서류에 대해서 영사확인을 받도록 요청할 예정임.
While consular confirmation is not initially required for the above-mentioned “Certificates(required)”, applicants who pass both the first screening (document screening) and the second screening (interview) will be requested to provide consular confirmation for the already submitted “Certificates(required)”.
**** 성적증명서는 전체 학년에 대해 증명이 가능해야하며, CGPA 서류를 반드시 포함해야 함.
Ensure that the transcript is verifiable for “all” academic years and includes CGPA documentation.
7. 제출 기한 및 방법(Submission Deadline and Method)
o 제출 기한 : 2024.3.1.(금)까지 제출
Submission Deadline: Please ensure submission by Friday, March 1, 2024.
o 제출 방법 : 대사관 방문 제출(대리인 제출 가능) 또는 우편 제출 가능
Submission Methods: You may submit in person at the embassy (submission through an agent is allowed) or via mail.
* 주소(address) : No.97, University Avenue, Bahan Tsp, (P.O. BOX 1408), Yangon, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Myanmar.
** 단, 제출 기한 이후에 도착한 서류는 제외됨.
Note: Documents received after the submission deadline will not be considered.
*** 이메일 접수 불가함.
Email submissions are not accepted.
8. 기타 사항(Other Important Information)
o 지원시 필수 사항을 숙지하여 자격여부 및 서류 등이 누락되지 않도록 유의하기 바랍니다. 서류 미비자는 심사 대상에서 제외됩니다.
When applying, please ensure that all required information is provided, and be cautious not to omit any qualifications or necessary documents. Applications missing essential documentation will be excluded from the screening process.
o 대사관은 3.8.(금) 이전에 1차심사(서류심사) 통과자에게 1차 심사 합격 통보 이메일을 발송할 계획입니다. 1차 심사에 불합격한 사람에게는 이메일로 별도 통보 하지 않을 예정임을 참고해주시기 바랍니다.
The embassy aims to send email notifications regarding the results of the first screening (document screening) to successful candidates before Friday, March 8. Please be aware that applicants who do not pass the first screening will not receive a separate email notification.
o 2차심사(면접심사)는 3.11.(월)~3.15.(금) 기간 중에 개최할 계획입니다. 1차 심사 합격자에게 면접심사에 대한 안내 메일을 늦어도 3.8.(금)까지 발송할 예정입니다.
The second screening (interview) is scheduled to take place from March 11 (Mon) to March 15 (Fri). Individuals who successfully pass the first screening will receive an email with detailed information about the interview by Friday, March 8 at the latest.
o 최종 합격자에 대해서는 3.22.(금) 이전에 최종 합격 통보 이메일을 발송할 예정입니다.
Final acceptance notification emails will be dispatched to successful applicants before March 22nd (Friday).
※ 공관전형 최종 불합격자는 대학전형에 재지원할 수 있으니, 대학전형에 재지원하시기 바랍니다.
Note: Applicants disqualified during the “Embassy Track” have the option to reapply for the “University Track”, so please consider applying for the “University Track”.
