Stacking enough wide presets and your mix turns into a blurry wall. Build a solid center with mono kicks, snares and bass. Then give selected leads, pads and effects the sides. Width feels bigger when it has something narrow to contrast against. Check the mix in mono, then widen with intention!

More reverb alone will not fix your track! Depth is a balance of level, tone and space. Keep foreground sounds brighter, louder and drier. Push background parts back with less volume, darker tone and more reverb. Use pre-delay to preserve important transients, then shorten decay when repeated notes start clouding the mix.
