🎬🇺🇸 AMERICAN CINEMA IN FOCUS: FRAME BY FRAME

And just like that, we reached the final frame. 🎞️✨

Last night, THE GODFATHER brought our three-day celebration of American cinema to a memorable close at Manaki Cinema in Bitola.

The screening was opened with remarks by Laura Djuragic, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje, who welcomed the audience and highlighted the importance of celebrating American cinema and the art of cinematography.

The evening brought film lovers together for a screening of one of the most iconic films in American cinema, giving audiences the opportunity to experience Francis Ford Coppola’s masterful storytelling, unforgettable characters, and distinctive visual language on the big screen. 🎥🍿

Over three evenings, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, and The Godfather took audiences on a journey through the history and artistry of American filmmaking — frame by frame.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the series and to our partners at the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia through the American Film Showcase and the International Cinematographers’ Film Festival “Manaki Brothers” for making this celebration possible. 🇺🇸🎬

Last night, CASABLANCA brought the magic of classic Hollywood to the big screen at Manaki Cinema in Bitola and we had a full house! 🎞️✨

It was wonderful to see film lovers come together to experience this timeless classic and enjoy its unforgettable storytelling, iconic performances, and masterful cinematography. 🎥🍿

The screening was the second film in our three-day celebration of American cinema, organized by American Corner Bitola and the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia through the American Film Showcase, in collaboration with the International Cinematographers’ Film Festival “Manaki Brothers.”

A big thank you to everyone who joined us! 🇺🇸❤️

We kicked off our three-day celebration of American cinema with Citizen Kane, one of the most influential films in the history of cinema.

📽️ The screening last night at Manaki Cinema in Bitola brought film enthusiasts together to revisit Orson Welles’ groundbreaking work and explore the visual storytelling, innovative cinematography, and creative techniques that helped shape the language of modern cinema. 🎥

As part of Freedom 250, organized by American Corner Bitola and the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia through the American Film Showcase, in collaboration with the International Cinematographers’ Film Festival “Manaki Brothers”, American Cinema in Focus: Frame by Frame highlights the creativity, artistic excellence, and lasting influence of American filmmaking — one iconic frame at a time.
