La belle mangrove d'Ikoni de Moroni-Comores possède neuf espèces de palétuviers. Comparée à celle de Sainte-Marie Mcar, la superficie de la mangrove d'Ikoni est faible, mais du point de vue espèce elle est riche par rapport à nous.

Propagule; A propagule is a plant part, such as a bud, that becomes detached from the rest of the plant and grows into a new plant. When I thought of the name for this photo, it reminded me of how being inspired by others can be the motivation needed to detach from the old and start something new. To plant the roots for something never seen before, so that the up-and-coming can grow to do the same and hopefully better. Being able to represent a minority group in a field that is very niche is a big responsibility and one that my peers and I hope will not be such a rarity in the future. The goal is to create a new generation of ocean warriors that can represent every group of people and branch out around the globe. Be the change you want to see.

AGATHE Theresa Zafiarisoa membre active de l'ISSEDD Mangrove Team a décroché une bourse de Master à Ibadan University au Nigeria. Elle va poursuivre sa formation sur le parcours "Management Environmental" durant deux ans dans cette prestigieuse université qui se situe au 1er rang au Nigeria, 7è rang en Afrique et 470è rang dans le monde.

Encore félicitations Agathe, on est très fière de t'avoir dans la team.
