Freedom 250 Highlights - English Book Club with Morgan, English Teaching Assistant

🧐 What is freedom for you?
Is it the freedom to speak your mind? To access information? To read, learn, and think for yourself?

🤓 For the last 3 months, American Corner members have engaged in deep book discussions during the English Book Club with Morgan, followed by a Movie Session exploring Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury’s powerful story about a society where books are banned and independent thinking is discouraged.

Through lively discussions and the film adaptation, participants reflected on the importance of intellectual freedom, critical thinking, and the right to express ideas—values that continue to shape democratic societies today.

As we celebrate Freedom 250, we are reminded that freedom is more than a historical achievement. It is a responsibility that must be protected, nurtured, and passed on to future generations.

📚🎬 Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey through one of America's most thought-provoking stories.

Special thanks to Morgan, ETA, for leading the English Book Club and Movie Session, introducing us to this book, widening our perspectives, and improving our critical thinking skills.
