SPACES OF PERFECT EMPTINESS

Art does not seek explanation, nor does it owe one. Some experiences cannot be fully translated into words — space, light, silence, shadow, atmosphere.

Spaces of Perfect Emptiness explores the dialogue between presence and absence through three distinct artistic languages. Here, emptiness is not absence, but possibility — a space for contemplation, perception, and emotion.

Light, air, shadow, and negative space become essential elements of meaning. The works invite viewers not simply to observe, but to enter the rhythm of the installation and experience space in its purest form.

In silence, simplicity, and the removal of excess, a new way of seeing emerges.

Introducing the curator of the exhibition — Ana Clerc

A curator, artist, and creative director based in Bern, Ana works at the intersection of contemporary art, fashion, photography, and performance. She has a unique visual sensitivity, which makes her exhibitions feel like complete experiences rather than simply a collection of works.

When Ana and her team first approached us with the idea for this project, we immediately felt that this was something we wanted to present in our space. We’re truly happy to collaborate on this exhibition together.

This is a show curated by Ana Clerc — shaped by her vision, atmosphere, and selection of artists. And we’re excited to be the place where this story comes to life.

About the Author | Mateja Galić

There is something deeply emotional and powerful in the way Mateja Galić shapes form and space through sculpture. Born in 1986 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, her artistic language carries both strength and sensitivity, inviting the viewer into a quiet but intense dialogue with the work itself.

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Mostar, Mateja has exhibited widely across Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia through numerous solo and group exhibitions, symposiums, and art colonies. She is also the author of two public sculptures and currently works as Assistant Professor at the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mostar.

Her sculptures are not only objects — they are experiences, emotions captured in material. We are excited to present her work and invite you to experience it in person at the exhibition.

Opening of the exhibition “Grounding” | Ivana Milić

In the Grounding exhibition, Ivana Milić explores the tension between movement and stillness. Layers of color, texture, and physical traces — including footprints — become markers of presence. Each work captures a moment where body and emotion meet the earth, revealing an inner rhythm.
