On October 1st 2024, Jen MacArthur, Regional English Language Officer at Kyiv Regional English Language Center for Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Hungary and Romania, together with Joanne Cramb Cultural Attache at the U.S. Embassy in Chișinău, during their visit to Alecu Russo Bălți State University, met a group of professors and students from the English and German Philology Department, Faculty of Letters. We are grateful to her for sharing her teaching experience and promoting the universal educational values.

🎭Following the wisdom “All work and no play made Jack a dull boy”, we were happy to have spent qualitative time at Vasile Alecsandri Theatre enjoying M. Visniec’s Lysistrata, My Love. It is a revisited ancient Greek myth, highlighting the consequences of consumerism and entertaining industry in the modern society in which the gender roles have changed dramatically. Women have become more proactive while men have accepted playing the second fiddle.
👏Special thanks to Ina Ilașciuc, director of Vasile Alecsandri Theatre and Radu Ghilaș, Romanian film and theatre actor for their genuine interest in directing interesting plays.
