Music has always been a space for dialogue. So has the Gnaoua and World Music Festival.
As part of its 27th edition, the Human Rights Forum returns with a new series of conversations bringing together artists, thinkers, researchers and civil society voices to reflect on the major questions shaping our societies today.
Because beyond the stages, the Festival is also a place where ideas circulate, perspectives meet and dialogue takes center stage.

1953 - 2025 The Festival honors the memory of Maâlem Mustapha Baqbou, one of the most influential figures in Gnaoua music and a pioneer of the musical dialogues that have shaped the Festival's identity.
The evening will begin with a film celebrating his life and artistic journey, followed by a special tribute concert featuring Maâlem Abdeslam Alikkane & Tyour Gnaoua, Hamza Baqbou, Maâlem Abdelkebir Merchane and Maâlem Mohamed Kouyou.
A moment of remembrance, celebration and gratitude for an artist whose influence continues to resonate across generations.
