Day two of the Youth Community Art Facilitation Training: all about foundations!
Today, we explored what makes a strong, impactful art workshop — and we all agreed:
creating a safe space is absolutely essential.

We learned, shared our experiences, offered different perspectives, practiced, created art, and expressed our visions and feelings through it.

Day 2 is a wrap!

Je t’invite à explorer les 5 blessures de l’âme – abandon, rejet, trahison, humiliation, injustice (inspirées du livre de Lise Bourbeau) – dans un espace doux, sécurisant et profond, où tu pourras honorer ton rythme, déposer ce qui te pèse et laisser émerger plus de joie, de légèreté et de clarté intérieure.

Au programme :

• Méditation guidée

• Expression artistique intuitive

• Mouvement doux pour libérer les émotions

… et reconnecter à tes ressources intérieures.

We're thrilled to launch....

The very first Youth Community Art Facilitation Training - happening this July in Casablanca !

A 4-day training for youth under 30 who want to use art and creativity as tools for community building and social change.

No artistic experience required — just curiosity, motivation, and a desire to facilitate change through art.

🔹 Learn how to design and lead community art workshops

🔹 Practice facilitation in real conditions

🔹 Limited to 10 participants — selection based on motivation

⚠️ Please apply only if you can commit to attending the full 4-day program.

🎨 Led by Sanaa Abouayoub, founder of Joy Of Arts, artist & certified art therapist.

📅 July 22–24 and 26 from 10 am to 5 pm | 📍 American Arts Center, Casablanca

Je suis très JOAyeuse (tu commences à me connaître 😄) de t’annoncer le lancement de ma toute première initiation à l’art thérapie !

Un module coloré dédié à une pratique que j’adore : le Body Mapping Créatif.

Le Body Mapping, c’est l’art de dessiner son corps en grand format pour explorer ses émotions, ses mémoires, son histoire… et parfois aussi ses douleurs anciennes, chroniques ou silencieuses.

C’est un rituel doux et puissant pour écouter, comprendre, honorer… et surtout célébrer ton corps.

🌺 Cette initiation est à la fois un voyage personnel et une transmission d’outil : tu pourras l’intégrer dans ta propre pratique d’accompagnement (avec les petits comme les grands) si tu travailles déjà dans la relation d’aide… ou que tu souhaites t’y ouvrir.

Excited to share that I recently took part in the World Art Therapy Conference, engaging in a meaningful round table discussion with fellow art therapists in Africa. It was humbling to explore the challenges and opportunities we encounter in our work. Over the past decade, art therapy has enriched my life, providing tools that allow me to contribute as both a therapist and an artist. Grateful for the insightful experiences shared by my colleagues. 🎨

I feel the call to create something new and let go of old dreams and expectations.

I 'm letting go of this version of Joa and give myself space to welcome something new, when time is right.

Other projects are calling my attention right now.

I've put a blank image to give myself the space to welcome the new and not rush into anything.
Welcoming things as they organically unfold.

This first move is just giving me the space to grief and see what the next step will be.
