Hamid works at the railway station where we feed and sterilise the cats. He asked me to look at the eyes of 2 kittens he has at home..... then we spoke about sterilisation of yhe Mum! He wants to thank us all for helping to take care of the cat colony at the station. Bringing food and medicine regularly and sterilising the cats means that the colony is stable and healthy. INTERNATIONAL CAT DAY! I don't say much here about my work with cats in Morocco, but today I will! In Azemmour (where I have a little house) I started a small but very effective animal rescue charity, 4 years ago. We rely on donations for our work, and with the help of wonderful supporters we have sterilised more than 1200 cats and recently 5 dogs. We have attended many emergencies, feed 100's of cats every day in Azemmour, and since the earthquake in the Atlas mountains last September we have supplied food to feed approx 500 cats and dogs every day! ERHAM means Take Pity in Arabic, and that's what we do.
