Dalībnieku runas bija gan pacilājošas savā atklātībā, gan smagas savā patiesībā, un mēs pateicamies ikvienam no runātājiem par uzticēšanos būt kopā iekļaujošākas nākotnes vārdā! Ļausim pieredzētajam audzēt mūsu degsmi, solidaritāti un cerību!

Šogad gājienā aktualizējām tādas tēmas kā trans un kvīru tiesības, radikālu ķermeņa neitralitāti, seksa darbinieku tiesības, neirodažādību, migrantu tiesības, solidaritāti ar Ukrainu un Palestīnu un cīņu pret imperiālismu un kolonizāciju, cīņu pret vardarbību, ticību robežu apvienošanai Latgalē un dzīvnieku tiesības.

Речи были одновременно воодушевляющими своей открытостью и тяжелыми своей правдивостью, и мы благодарим каждого выступающего за доверие к нам и за то, что мы вместе боремся за более инклюзивное будущее! Позвольте нашему опыту разжечь нашу страсть, солидарность и надежду!

We witnessed a multitude of experiences and calls for solidarity thanks to the powerful speakers at the 2026 intersectional march "Feminism for All". During the march, the streets of Riga rumbled not with pleas, but demands for rights and justice for all!

The speeches were both uplifting in their openness and heavy in their truth, and we thank every single speaker for their trust in us to stand together for a more inclusive future! Let us allow for our experience to fire up our passion, solidarity, and hope!

This year the highlighted topics included trans and q***r rights, radical body neutrality, s*x worker rights, neurodiversity, migrant rights, solidarity with Ukraine and Palestine and the fight against imperialism and colonialism, fight against violence, support for dismantling the barriers in Latgale region, and animal rights.

Intersectional feminism is rooted in recognizing that different forms of oppression interact with each other. With this awareness, we can strive to listen to each other to help advocate for freedom and justice

We will begin and conclude the march with diverse speeches that will highlight topics such as trans and q***r rights, radical body neutrality, s*x worker rights, neurodiversity, migrant rights, solidarity with Ukraine and Palestine and the fight against imperialism, fight against violence, a voice from Latgale region, and animal rights.

Speeches will be delivered in Latvian, Ukrainian, English and Russian. Speeches in Ukrainian, Russians and English will be followed by a translation in Latvian.

Rīgā norisināsies jau otrais iekļaujošā feminisma gājiens "Feminisms visiem", kas pievērsīs uzmanību intersekcionālai un iekļaujošai izpratnei par sieviešu un LGBTK+ kopienas tiesībām, sociālajam taisnīgumam un diskriminācijas izskaušanai.

24. februārī sākot no plkst. 19.00 vakara garumā pievienojies brīvplūstošam galda spēļu vakaram Kaņepes viesistabā. Uz vietas būs ierastās galda spēles, bet droši ņem līdzi arī savas, lai dalītos priekā, un pie reizes veiktu ziedojumu Ukrainas cīnītāju lūgtajai palīdzībai. Slava Ukraini!

On February 24th, starting from 7 PM, drop by a relaxed board game evening happening at the Kaņepes cozy downstairs. The classic board games will be available, but feel free to bring your own to spread the joy, and at the same time make a donation to the cause chosen by the Ukrainian fighters. Slava Ukraini!

Mēs atbalstām Irānas tautu un iestājamies par protestu brīvību, nacionālo pašnoteikšanos bez ārvalstu iejaukšanās un diktatūras un monarhijas beigas!

Mēs atbalstām protestētājus cīņā par brīvībām un pret dažādām apspiešanas formām, īpaši attiecībā uz sievietēm, kvīru cilvēkiem un etniskajām minoritātēm. Irānas aktīvisti norāda uz monarhistu kustību pieaugošo ietekmi, vienlaikus pastāvot reāliem imperiālistiskiem draudiem pret Irānas tautu, tostarp ASV iejaukšanās briesmas. Mēs redzam spēku, kas izaug no Irānas sociālajām pretrunām un tieši stājas pretī represiju mehānismam cīņā par demokrātisku nākotni.

We support people of Iran
and we stand for freedom of protest, national determination without interventions, end of dictatorship and monarchy!

We recognize the legitimacy of these protests, as well as the intersection of different forms of oppression especially for women, q***rs and ethnic minorities! Iranian activists point to the growing influence of monarchist movement, while at the same time there is a real imperialist threat to the people of Iran including the danger of US intervention. We see a force emerging from Iran’s social contradictions that is directly confronting the machine of repression in the struggle for a democratic future.

Мы поддерживаем протестующих в борьбе за свободы с различными формами угнетения, особенно в отношении женщин, квир-людей и этнических меньшинств. Иранские активисты указывают на растущее влияние монархического движения, при этом существует реальная империалистическая угроза народу Ирана, включая опасность вмешательства США. Causes of the Protests

Anti-establishment demonstrations across Iran escalated last weeks as reports emerged of large-scale violence by protesters and security services alike. Over half of the country’s thirty-one provinces are convulsed in protests, which first reportedly erupted on December 28 in the electronics section of Tehran’s central bazaar.
Traders had come out onto the streets in response to a sudden 16 percent crash in the rial (Iran's currency), whose value has dropped 84 percent over the past year. Iran’s currency has experienced severe volatility since hardened US sanctions, which have cut its oil revenues and deprived its central bank of access to much of the revenue it still retains, were imposed in 2011. Economic ruin has destroyed much of Iran’s middle class and plunged around a third of its citizens into poverty. Rearmament spending following Israel’s June 2025 attack has only made the crisis more acute.

Repression During the Protests

Iranian authorities have unleashed an unprecedented deadly crackdown to crush mostly peaceful protests demanding the fall of the Islamic Republic system. Security forces have used unlawful lethal force leading to mass killings and horrific injuries.
According to HRANA’s (Human Rights Activists in Iran (US based)) statistics as of 14 January 2026, by the end of the twentieth day of the protests, the total number of confirmed deaths had reached 3,090, with 3,882 additional cases still under review. At least 2,055 people have been reported with severe injuries, and the number of arrests has risen to 22,123.
Among the most notable developments in recent days have been a nationwide internet shutdown, intensified diplomatic and security reactions at the international level, and the persistence of security and judicial crackdowns inside the country.

Foreign Intervention

We support the people of Iran in their struggle for democracy and believe that political change must be achieved by Iranians themselves.
We oppose foreign intervention, which has repeatedly served Western interests rather than the people of Iran. Throughout the 20th century, Iran was treated as a playground for imperial powers seeking control over its oil, with little concern for the population. In the early 1950s, after Iran nationalized its oil, the US and UK backed a coup that overthrew the country’s democratically elected government and strengthened the rule of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. His Western-backed regime governed through violence, and repression for decades.
Popular discontent with dictatorship and foreign interference led to the 1979 Revolution. However, the resulting power vacuum enabled religious authorities to seize control, replacing one form of repression with another. Instead of freedom, Iran was taken over by clerical authoritarian regime.

Kurds

We also remind everyone that Iranian Kurdistan, Rojhilat, is fighting for its own liberation. Attempts to declare autonomy have failed for decades, but guerrilla struggle on Iranian territory continues. PJAK (the Kurdistan Free Life Party) supports the protesters in Iran and has condemned the current regime and its repression. Importantly, PJAK’s forces include an armed women’s wing, which is especially significant in the struggle for women’s emancipation.
Overall, the situation in Iran is also of great importance for the Kurdish people. Kurds say that instability in Tehran could be a favorable condition for the Kurdish region and could weaken the imperial alliance of Russia, Iran, and China. At the same time, Kurds also oppose the imperialism of the United States, Israel, or anyone else. True liberation of a people is unthinkable within neoliberal imperialist frameworks, as the Kurds remind us.

If you oppose domination, occupation, imperialism, then Ukraine, Palestine, Venezuela, Kurdistan, Iran are not separate causes. They are part of the same fight.

The struggles of these countries are linked by power. Control resources. Crush resistance. Punish sovereignty. This is empire behavior. Different stories, the same behavior.

Sanctions

Iran is one of the most heavily sanctioned countries in the world. These sanctions have cut Iran off from the global financial system, restricted trade, and blocked investment. The resuls have been inflation, shortages, and economic collapse — conditions borne primarily by ordinary people, not those in power.
Sanctions on Iran began after the 1979 Revolution and have been selectively imposed or lifted depending on Western political interests. While targeted assassinations and diplomatic pressure claim to address the system, sanctions overwhelmingly punish civilians. They deepen suffering, fuel instability, and contribute directly to forced displacement and poverty.

Social media pressures us to pick sides quickly and emotionally. But liberation is not simple, linear, or clean. It is shaped by history, power, and ongoing struggle.
We reject the false choice between clerical authoritarianism and royal restoration.
No kings!
No authoritarian clerics!
No foreign intervention!

What we can do in Latvia?

- Assess critically everything you read about Iran, don't buy the imperialist propaganda
- Call out hypocrisy off our western governments, ignoring genocides and supporting dictatorships when it's "pro-western"
- Learn the history of Iran and its colonial struggle and revolutions
- Demand an end to sanctions that punish ordinary people, not those in power and demand end to foreign interventions
- Be sympathetic to people. Support refugees — they are the human consequence of repression, war, sanctions, and forced displacement
- Use your rights to fight against systems of oppression

Paldies visiem, kas 9. janvārī pulcējās pie Rīgas pils, lai nosodītu Amerikas Savienoto Valstu imperiālistisko agresiju pret Venecuēlu un aicinātu mūsu valdību ievērot starptautiskās tiesības un piemērot tās vienādi visiem.

Mēs neatbalstām Maduro autokrātisko režīmu un nosodām visas diktatūras; tomēr šāda režīma gāšana jāveic pašiem Venecuēlas iedzīvotājiem, nevis Amerikas Savienotajām Valstīm.

Amerikas Savienoto valstu 3.janvārī veiktā “speciālā operācija” jeb militārā agresija pret neatkarīgo Venecuēlas valsti tika veikta bez ASV Kongresa un ANO apstiprinājuma, aizbildinoties ar “cīņu pret narkoterorismu”. Tagad Tramps arvien vairāk runā par plāniem attiecībā uz suverēno Kolumbiju un Grenlandi.

Mēs vēlamies aicināt mūsu prezidentu nosodīt starptautisko tiesību pārkāpumus un šo iebrukumu! Latvijas diplomāti turpina sēdēt uz diviem krēsliem, aizmirstot, cik svarīgas ir starptautiskās tiesības tādām mazām valstīm kā Latvija, cerot uz potenciālu stratēģiskā partnera labvēlību sliktākajos nākotnes scenārijos. Trampa ambīcijas attiecībā uz Grenlandi ir pierādījums tam, ka Trampa administrāciju nevar uzskatīt par Latvijas neatkarības garantu. Nemaz nerunājot par viņa koķetajām attiecībām ar Putinu. Rokas nost no Venecuēlas!

Спасибо всем, кто 9 января собрался у Рижского замка, чтобы осудить империалистическую агрессию Соединённых Штатов Америки против Венесуэлы и призвать наше правительство соблюдать международное право и применять его одинаково ко всем!

Мы не поддерживаем автократический режим Мадуро и осуждаем все диктатуры; однако свержение такого режима должно осуществляться самими жителями Венесуэлы, а не Соединёнными Штатами Америки.

Так называемая «специальная операция», или военная агрессия, осуществлённая Соединёнными Штатами 3 января против независимого государства Венесуэла, была проведена без одобрения Конгресса США и ООН, под предлогом «борьбы с наркотерроризмом». Теперь Трамп всё чаще говорит о планах в отношениии Колумбии и Гренландии.

Мы хотим призвать нашего президента осудить нарушения международного права и это вторжение! Латвийские дипломаты продолжают сидеть на двух стульях, забывая, насколько важны международные нормы для таких малых государств, как Латвия, надеясь на благосклонность потенциального стратегического партнёра в худших сценариях будущего. Амбиции Трампа в отношении Гренландии являются доказательством того, что администрацию Трампа нельзя считать гарантом независимости Латвии. Не говоря уже о его теплых отношениях с Путиным. Руки прочь от Венесуэлы!

Thanks to all who on January 9 joined in a near Riga Castle to condemn the imperialist aggression of the United States against Venezuela and to call on our government to respect international law and apply it equally to everyone.

We do not support Maduro’s autocratic regime and condemn all dictatorships; however, the overthrow of such a regime must be carried out by the Venezuelan people themselves, not by the United States.

The United States' "special operation" aka military aggression against the independent state of Venezuela on January 3rd against the independent state of Venezuela was carried out without congressional and UN approval under the pretext of “fighting narco-terrorism.” Now Trump is increasingly talking about plans for the sovereign Colombia and Greenland.

We want to call on our president to condemn the violation of international law and this invasion! Latvian diplomats continue to sit on two chairs, forgetting how important international law is for small countries like Latvia, hoping for a favor from our strategic partner if things came to worst. Trump's ambitions for Greenland is proof, that the Trump administration can not be seen as guarantors of Latvia's independence. Not even talking about his flirtatious realtions with Putin. Hands off Venezuela!
