No šā gada 13. oktobra līdz 3. novembrim festivāla “Rīgas Ritmi” rudens koncertsērijā “Art of Riga Jazz” Latvijas Radio 1. studijā uzstāsies daudzpusīgais amerikāņu džeza pianists Emmet Cohen ar savu trio, izcilais itāļu pianists Lorenzo De Finti ar savu kvintetu, četru muzikāli zinātkāru itāļu grupa “Satoyama” un franču-togo dziedātāja ar plašu skatījumu uz mūzikas pasauli Laura Prince kopā ar pianistu Grégory Privat no Martinikas.

🎶 Maestro Raimonds Pauls ir gandarīts par sadarbību ar britu aranžētājiem, kuras rezultāts ir leģendāru viņa radītu melodiju aranžējums orķestrim “Sinfonietta Rīga”, komponists atzina LTV raidījumā “Kultūrdeva”.

🎶Pauls īpaši lepojas ar stīgu instrumentu skanējumu šajā aranžijā: “Noteikti, tāpēc pat tā naivi ierunājos, ka vietām ieskanas pēc Holivudas. Tas kritērijs ir Holivudas veco laiku filmu mūzika, ne šodienas. Lieliski opusi bija.”

🎶“Šis aranžējums vasarā parādīsies Doma baznīcas dārzā tieši Dziesmu svētku laikā, 7. jūlijā. Nav sagaidāmi nekādi milzīgi “orķestru brīnumi”, bet tur angļu aranžētāji vienkārši ir pierādījuši, kā var ar stīgām izveidot melodiju, kā veidojas kompozīcija,” R. Pauls saka intervijā raidījuma vadītājai Henrieta Verhoustinskai.

The international jazz artists competition Riga Jazz Stage 2023 planned for next April, in which young jazz artists vocalists and saxophonists should have participated this time, has been cancelled.

Atcelts nākamā gada aprīlī iecerētais starptautiskais džeza mākslinieku konkurss “Riga Jazz Stage 2023”, kurā šoreiz būtu bijis jāpiedalās jaunajiem vokālistiem un saksofonistiem.

Jazz Artists Contest RIGA JAZZ STAGE Each year RIGA JAZZ STAGE welcomes young jazz stars to the capital of Latvia, Riga. Contest invites the audience to go along with the competitive spirit and to enjoy jazz in yet unheard interpretations. Contest is a great chance for talented jazz artists to prove their skills on the international stage.

International Jazz Artists contest Riga Jazz Stage has been organized by the non-profit organization Contemporary Music Center since 2004. For all these years contest has been offering new artists from all over the world the unique opportunity to present their talent.

At the spectacular venue - cinema “Splendid Palace” - contest brings together young jazz musicians and international jury, as well as music lovers, to create unique atmosphere of support for the contestants. One of the main values of the contest is an international expert jury, made up of globally-acclaimed jazz professionals, international jazz festival producers and critics.
