Let’s get a little away from the long memoirs and show the model of the residential complex in Chelyabinsk, which we made for our, already permanent, customer☺️. It’s very nice when customers come back, for the third, fourth time... It inspires confidence that we do our job well 👌

- не экономь на рекламе/ не пренебрегай соцсетями, сайтом и все прочее из этой области; мало быть хорошим специалистом или иметь гениальную идею. Сначала нужно суметь продать свое мастерство;
- никогда не делай ставку на один заказ, который «100% будем делать, не сомневайтесь»;
- никогда не отмахивайся ни от какого самого бредового запроса; каждый запрос необходимо отработать, дать свое предложение и «забыть» про него;
- четко разделяй «выгодные» и «интересные» проекты; если хочешь работать ради интереса, будь готов к тому, что много заработать на этом не получится;
- не бойся сложных задач: сделать можно абсолютно любую работу, нужно только правильно расставить приоритеты и вовремя найти нужных специалистов;
- ничего не принимай близко к сердцу; каким бы важным ни был заказ, какая бы армия менеджеров от заказчика ни трепала нервы по поводу презентации самым-пресамым первым лицам, - это всего лишь работа, а не вопрос жизни и смерти; не ставь работу выше себя;
- никогда не сжигай мосты, не прерывай знакомства и не порть отношения - никто не может знать, кто внезапно станет тебе нужным и полезным в будущем;
- не допускай дружбы и панибратского отношения с сотрудниками;
- не занимайся не своими обязанностями - даже если кажется, что эту задачу ты выполнишь лучше других;

И, конечно же, сам я первый чаще всего и нарушаю эти заповеди)

Part 4.

There are two extremes in the work of a model designer. Its task is to analyze and study the object, and then completely «reassemble» it, based on the scale, capabilities of the equipment, available materials. And here lies the danger of simplifying the object too much, neglecting very small (in the opinion of the designer) elements, ignoring too complex and incomprehensible technical details. This happens both because of the lack of full-fledged source data and because of their excess /Sometimes we get our hands on several versions of the same project, and it is not always easy to figure out what information is relevant/. The other extreme is, on the contrary, to delve into the analysis of the project so much that you lose a sense of scale and start trying to display too small and unnecessary details on the layout. There is no limit to perfection, but we are always limited by budget and time. As in any other business, you need a middle ground here. A good designer should catch literally on an intuitive level what needs to be emphasized and what can be neglected / Here, of course, contact with the direct customer of the layout is important/

Part 3.

As soon as I realized that I could make a model myself from beginning to end, I started looking for orders. First with the help of Avito, ad sites, then my own website appeared.

I calculated: for 5 years, before finally embarking on free swimming at the end of 2018, I managed to work in seven different layout workshops in Moscow. In each new place, I was happy to learn and master different techniques and technologies.

3D printing has been used in modelling for a long time. From the very beginning of my activity as a model designer, I have periodically encountered it. But at first it was a hard-to-reach technology. The workshops themselves could not afford the luxury of owning a 3D printer. I had to order printing from third-party companies, and the process of preparing models for printing remained terra incognita for a long time.

But by 2016, key patents for early technologies (SLA) expired, and the first compact and affordable LCD/DLP printers working with liquid resins entered the market. We bought our first printer in 2018 and for some time were almost the only layouts who printed models for themselves /and for other workshops/

Part 2.

I believe that the name is of great importance. Unfortunately, there is no naming culture in our society. Abroad, the name of the company is often the surname of the founder, but this tradition was completely eliminated by the revolution of 1917. Even after more than a hundred years, you will rarely find a real name in the name of the company. But we really like abbreviations and abbreviations - there is less and less time... There is a problem with the names of mock-up workshops. I really don’t want to offend my colleagues, but it often seems that they were given 10 minutes to come up with a name.

The name «Manufactura» was born long before the workshop itself. More precisely, the workshop at that time was limited to my desktop) Why the Manufacture?

/I think I remember this word back in school, when we went through the economics of the Middle Ages in the history lesson... / The word comes from the Latin roots «manus» (hand) and «factura» (product/manufacture) - and this is exactly what we do! And although now serious layout is unthinkable without machines and printers, the final chord of any layout is necessarily manual assembly and finalization of small things.

My name is Vladimir Savin. If you write or call the «Manufactura» model workshop, you will most likely communicate with me)

I decided to tell you a little about myself and the model workshop.

Part 1.

The idea of my own workshop came to me right after I moved to Moscow in 2013 and got acquainted with the field of model. Before that, I had practically no idea about architectural models and had nothing to do with architecture. Having received a higher engineering and, in absentia, historical education in 2009, I managed to work for five years as an engineer-calculator of aircraft engines, but I always understood that this is not what I would like to do in life. The only thing that was very remotely connected with my current activity at that time was my passion for military-historical miniature and diorama construction.

Having moved to Moscow from Samara, I had no idea what I would do. Somehow magically in my head it turned out: what I love and kind of know how to do a little is modelling. And what exactly to create a model - a historical event or a new residential complex - by and large, what’s the difference?)

Sometimes (rarely!) You have to make layouts on a scale of 1:1, that is, in fact, a complete copy of the object. Like, for example, this model of a device for eroding bottom sediments. A real device weighs half a ton, and it is not very convenient to carry it to exhibitions. We made a lightweight version of plastic)

And now we will show more details of our layout. In addition to the architecture itself, we were especially inspired by the location of the hotel, and here we gave free rein to our love for beautiful nature)

13/05/2026

Today we will show a model of a resort hotel, which will be built in Dombai. The layout on a scale of 1:100 was quickly manufactured by us specifically for the Caucasus Investment Forum
