So, you’ve noticed your plant’s looking a bit squished? Here’s how to tell if it’s time for a new pot:
🪴 Roots peeking out of the drainage holes.
If your plant’s roots are doing the haka through the bottom of the pot, it’s time to give them some more room.
🪴 Roots wrapping around the inside.
If the roots are circling the pot like they’re stuck in a traffic jam, it’s definitely time for an upgrade.
🪴 Slow growth.
If your plant’s growth has slowed down and it’s basically just chilling, it might be root-bound and can’t grow any further until you give it more space.
🪴Soil dries too fast.
If you water your plant and the soil dries up quicker than a Kiwi in summer, the roots might be taking up all the space.
🪴It keeps toppling over.
If your plant keeps falling over like it’s had too many flat whites 🙃, it’s probably time for a new home.
