Liudmyla Natsvlishvili “The space in between”
This project is conceived as an artistic research presented through a series of works created with diverse materials and textures. At its core lies an exploration of how the environment influences human experience, revealing an intimate connection between the inner world of the individual and organic matter.
Through material experimentation, the works reflect on human responses to crisis and transformation - the ability to adapt, to recognize internal shifts, and to discover new forms of existence. They navigate a space between vulnerability and resilience: between fear and disorientation, and the emergence of strength, clarity, and the will to move forward. This moment of choice becomes essential, shaping processes of survival, recovery, and the capacity to support others.
The works are constructed through multiple layers, generating rich tactile and visual fields. These layered surfaces allow materials to evolve organically, forming structures that echo natural processes. At the same time, they invite the viewer into a personal, sensory encounter, encouraging an intuitive and reflective engagement with the work
The project seeks not only to address personal experience, but also to create a distinct environment — a space for rest, contemplation, and deep immersion. Within this space, art functions as a form of support and restoration, opening a dialogue between the inner condition of the viewer and the ever-changing world that surrounds them.
