As summer draws to a close, CUT ART Gallery is pleased to present “flip-flops” - a 3-day pop-up duo exhibition by Polina Smirnova and Roberts Bāliņš.

The exhibition brings together a new body of work created over the past few months, shaped by Polina’s encounters throughout the summer, and brings back Roberts Balins’ “Cowboy” series - both, in their own way, about what stays with us after the people who passed through have come and gone.

Join us on 28 August at 18:00 for the opening, and a final farewell to the season.

Address: Vienības prospekts 1A, Jūrmala
Opening: 28 August, 18:00
Duration: 28-30 August

This summer CUT ART launched a pop-up space in Jūrmala with Taboo or Not, bringing together two artists working from opposite ends of the same instinct.

Anna Matveeva (Anna Matveeva) photographs people at the moment they stop bracing against the lens, asking her subjects to step past the fear of being seen exactly as they are.

Vladislavs Saweljevs () works clay by hand and by fire until each piece carries a surface as unrepeatable as skin.

Side by side, photography and ceramics ask the same quiet question: what happens when something usually kept covered, is simply allowed to stand as it came into being: uncorrected, unsmoothed, still holding the marks of its own making?

Taboo or Not doesn’t answer for you. It only asks you to look.

The space is open with several works still available. DM us in advance to arrange a private viewing.

With thanks to riverproperties, whose space made this summer possible.

CUT ART presents the exhibition “Ramina Saadatkhan, Joy of Being.”
Ramina Saadatkhan paints from the inside out — building surfaces dense with color, memory, and cultural weight, where form follows feeling rather than logic.
On 3 July, we invite you to the opening of ‘Joy of Being’ and into a world where boundaries between self and environment quietly give way.
〰️ Opening: July 3, 2026
〰️ 6:00–8:00 p.m.
〰️ CUT ART, HOFT, Strēlnieku iela 5, Riga
〰️ The exhibition runs until July 15, 2026
〰️Visits on regular days — by appointment via the CUT ART website or social media.
The exhibition features Ramina’ key works that have won the hearts of the audience at VIMA 2026 Art Fair.
Curators: Viktorija Zaiceva ()

“Playing Hooky” is drawing to a close. Polina Smirnova’s solo show, co-curated by Anna Moss, has been a quiet highlight of Riga Art Week, paintings that sit somewhere between psychic realism and lived experience, where fluorescent colour and gestural bodies capture the dual nature of intensity: joy and foreboding, euphoria and overwhelm.

The exhibition found its place in Riga Art Week highlights through the eyes of Jennifer Braun of Gen Z Art Critic, and Polina’s work was celebrated in the pages of Heni News.

There is still time to visit. Come to Strēlnieku 5 before the show closes on 15th of June.

CUT ART is proud to have participated in VIMA Art Fair 2026 in Limassol. It was a weekend filled with vibrant energy and great art.

We were thrilled to present the work of Ramina Saadatkhan, bringing her colours to Cyprus for the first time. Despite some challenges on arrival, the pieces found their place and the response from the audience was overwhelming.

Ramina and her work were awarded the Audience Choice Prize organized by Mellow (.io ) , winning with a commanding majority of the votes. A well-deserved recognition.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Forbes Lifestyle and Canvas Online for a feature of CUT ART and Ramina’s work in their articles.

Thank you to VIMA Art Fair and to everyone who visited, engaged, and voted. We look forward to returning to Limassol next year.

Cut Art Gallery announces its participation in the second edition of VIMA Art Fair, Limassol.

At Booth B3, the gallery presents a solo exhibition by Ramina Saadatkhan. Working between figuration and abstraction, Saadatkhan develops a painterly language driven by instinct, where fragmented forms and charged color construct dense, shifting compositions. Her work engages gesture, memory, and personal mythology with a precise sense of control.
