With deep gratitude, we look back to 2016 when the very first International Baltic Sea Choir Competition was still only an idea, and the outstanding Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks agreed to chair the jury of the first competition, without yet knowing how it would turn out, but with faith and trust in our vision — and that meant a lot to us at the time.

Pēteris - we sincerely thank you for believing us, and for the incredible music that continues to inspire so many people around the world! Warmest congratulations on your wonderful anniversary! ❤️🎶
