Space is a physical notion limited in three dimensions – in length, in height and in width. Space is “a stage”, through which we subjectively perceive phenomena, processes and all represented on the stage subjects. During the time period from 19th till 28th August young theatre professionals from Latvia, Poland, Ukraine and Belorussia under the guidance of guest lecturers will participate in a theatrical experiment performing five modern story productions by Ivan Bunin at a former hospital building of Daugavpils fortress. During the laboratory (stage director, scenic designer and dramatist) the fifteen minutes long performances will be created, which are going to be demonstrated as a united performance at the festival closing ceremony. The festival is organized by Daugavpils Theatre and supported by State Culture Capital Foundation, LLC ”Latvijas Propāna gāze” and LLC ”Latneftegaz”.
