Jeanette Bremin’s “Rebirth”
Today you can get all information you want from your iphone. We all keep our phones close to our faces to be able to read the small text and that’s the same with my artwork. I wants you to step up close to my art to be able to read the small text and see what’s there, and you’re supposed to look at the artwork from left to right.
The series of pictures follows the evolution of female’s underwear from when they are born to when they are close to death. 0 year to 80 years. It goes from 0 year, 1 year, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, 50 years, 60 years, 70 years, 80 years.
Each age, each underwear presents a different purpose. Many aren’t aware that woman uses all different kinds of underwear. It can be for menstruation, sexual temptation, after birth, aging urinary incontinence…
It starts with a diaper and ends with a diaper. 0 year to 80 years or longer…
We don’t know if we are reborn but many think rebirth in a circular form.
Over and over again the same…
The second and third artwork…
Instead of a circle I invented a three-dimensional square with birth and dying from 0 to 80 years in a numeric order directly followed by another 0 to 80 where each numeric order is presented with an “arrow”. This overview shows spontaneous alternative outcomes the “arrow” can take and the random choices there are of “Rebirth”. As unpredictable as life in itself.
My three dimensional square conclusion is visually a constellation that could go on forever, maybe as infinite as the universe.
