The Sequenda Luxembourg association was born from the desire to promote vocal and musical culture in the Grand Duchy through training programmes, concerts, and collaborations with other Luxembourgish musical and cultural institutions. L’Académie internationale d’été pour chanteurs et pianistes accompagnateurs Sequenda Luxembourg se déroule chaque année, début septembre, au Centre ArcA de Bertrange.

💎Sequenda podcast feat.
First success at just 20 - what does it take, and what does it give?

If you followed this or last year’s Sequenda Summer Academy, you’ll surely shared a laugh with her.
And when she sung, you probably thought just “WOW”.

Soprano Maria Olimpia Renna is only 20, and her rise in opera has been fast and unstoppable.

🏆She won the Premio Nazionale delle Arti, and got the second prize at the Tebaldi-Gigli-Corelli competition.
💓But she also likes pink, cats and porridge for breakfast.

In this interview, she speaks about the delicate balance between youth and success: the loneliness and discipline, but also the passion and stubbornness that keep her going.

In the end, she says: “I wish to always keep that passion alive, to always enjoy myself and, above all, I hope to be happy. If singing no longer made me happy, I would stop.”

🎶 Flashback to last Friday, when the students of the Summer Academy shared their music growth with a full room at École Régionale de Musique

Opera singers, violinists and cellists spent one week immersed in music, guided by renowned maestri through individual and ensemble lessons, meditation sessions, and surrounded by a community of talented and inspiring peers.
