Yesterday, Philharmonie Luxembourg welcomed audiences to Resilience: Ukrainian Classics, a special evening presented as part of UA Days in Luxembourg
The concert brought together distinguished guests, partners, supporters of Ukraine, and lovers of classical music to discover a remarkable part of Europe's musical heritage that has rarely been heard on Luxembourg stages before.
The evening featured acclaimed Ukrainian pianist Marta Kuziy, laureate of international competitions and a lecturer at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. Through her artistry and sensitivity, she introduced the audience to works by some of Ukraine's most prominent composers:
🔹 Mykola Lysenko – the founder of the Ukrainian classical music tradition, whose works combine virtuosity with lyrical depth.
🔹 Viktor Kosenko – celebrated for his poetic musical language and expressive piano miniatures full of elegance and emotion.
🔹 Levko Revutskyi – one of the key figures of Ukrainian modernism, whose music reflects refinement, sincerity, and national character.
🔹 Nestor Nyzhankivskyi – a composer whose legacy remains a hidden gem of Ukrainian musical culture, deserving wider international recognition.
✨ We are deeply grateful to Marta Kuziy for this extraordinary performance, to our dedicated partners and organising team, and to the warm Luxembourg audience for sharing this unforgettable evening with us. Thank you for your curiosity, support, and openness to discovering Ukrainian classical music.
