New chin rest CONVEX model made from cattle horn for and with Gordan Nikolić.
The idea is to replicate the shape of the violin top for a better feeling of the instrument and to avoid pressing the violin between head and shoulder.
Bonus surprise: it seems to give the violin an incredibly clear and distinguished tone (tested with equal results on Gordan’s violin and my own).
And of course the beauty and transparency of polished natural horn are incomparable!
