HAMLET

Jeder kennt ihn, Shakespeares Prinzen mit dem Totenkopf in der Hand. Jeder kennt seine Worte „Sein oder nicht sein“. Aber wer ist Hamlet wirklich? Was will er? Und wer hindert ihn daran? Hamlet und all seine Gegenspieler werden hier von nur einem Schauspieler verkörpert.
Ein Schauspieler spielt alle Rollen? Oder ein Hamlet, der alles spielt? Das ist hier die Frage.

Hubsi Kramar und Stefano Bernardin haben das Stück „Hamlet“ konzentriert und zu einer One-Man-Show gemacht, ohne Shakespeare zu verraten. Das 400 Jahre alte Werk hat an seiner Aktualität nichts verloren. „Es ist was faul im Staate Dänemark“ … und Dänemark ist überall.

Hamlet stirbt im Fechtduell und so beginnt die One-Man-Show. In seinem Kopf lässt er sein Leben R***e passieren. Die Monologe und Dialoge bleiben, doch verwandelt sich der Schauspieler von einer Figur in die andere – in Hamlet, Onkel und König Claudius, Mutter Gertrude, Geist des Vaters, Polonius, Rosenkranz und Güldenstern und Totengräber.
Ophelia wird nicht dargestellt. Ihr wird nur „geantwortet“. Doch ihre Figur lebt in der Musik.

STILL RUNNER
a visual performance in 7 scenes

An artistic performance as a ritual with „materials“ from the areas of physical theater, object theater, puppets and contemporary dance.

A play with light, shadow, the performer’s body with the person as an identity, as a mask, as part of a body that acts, suffers, dreams, „travels“.

The performance creates images that oscillate between reality and fantasy. It dichotomizes the viewer’s gaze, towards a multitude of ways to observe, reflect and perceive a situation, a work of art or a human life.

It is a journey that deals with identity, change, transformation, which starts from the soul, in a pure indefinable place, almost aseptic, a journey that takes place and is completed through the symbols that are quoted and especially the movement of the performer. Each step of this movement is distinguished by the rhythm of the music, the soundscapes, the melodies, the sounds that are not just an accompaniment, but are created and presented as a complete work.

It is a multi-level study on the persona, desire, memory and the relationship between life and art.

Ouverture du 16e Monodrama Festival ce vendredi 12.06 à 20h00🥳

Après INFRA (2024), le chorégraphe Brian CA revient avec un nouveau solo qui unit l’homme et la machine, inspiré par ses propres expériences adolescentes d’addiction aux écrans. SATELLITES promet un ballet de drones, dans un voyage où l’humain se confronte à sa propre création. La technologie, conçue comme prolongement de nos capacités, dépasse ici son créateur et reflète les failles de la condition humaine, révélant la solitude de celui qui cherche à transcender ses limites physiques et intellectuelles. Sur fond d’une composition originale de l’artiste électronique CoH, SATELLITES explore cette tension entre progrès et régression, confrontation et symbiose. La machine devient ici à la fois compagnon et rival, exposant la fragilité d’une humanité fascinée et effrayée par ce qu’elle a engendré.

🇩🇪 Fundamental gibt dem Monodrama Festival ein neues Gesicht!

15 Jahre lang erkannten Sie uns am gleichen Bild. Nun gibt es ein neues Layout, das nicht nur eine neue Haut für das Festival darstellt, sondern auch Ausdruck der Veränderungen ist, die ab diesem Jahr im Inneren von Fundamental vorgenommen werden.

So darf das Monodrama Festival zum Beispiel endlich eine eigene Webseite haben, mit der es sich von unseren anderen Aktivitäten absetzt. Noch weitere Umgestaltungen werden folgen.

Und ich möchte diesen Wendepunkt nutzen, um den Partnern zu danken, die unsere Entwicklung über die Jahre unterstützten und ermöglichten: dem Kulturministerium und der Stadt Luxemburg, den Kulturstiftungen, Sponsoren und Spendern, und, ganz besonders, den vielen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern sowie unserem Publikum.

Wir freuen uns auf die nächsten 15 Jahre!

🇫🇷 Fundamental donne un nouveau visage au Monodrama Festival!

Pendant 15 ans, vous nous avez reconnus à la même image. Nous avons désormais une nouvelle identité visuelle qui ne se contente pas de donner un nouveau look au festival, mais qui reflète également les changements qui ont lieu au sein de Fundamental depuis cette année.

Le Monodrama Festival dispose enfin de son propre site web, qui le distingue de nos autres activités. D'autres changements suivront.

Je voudrais profiter de ce tournant pour remercier les partenaires qui ont soutenu et rendu possible notre développement au fil des ans: le ministère de la Culture et la Ville de Luxembourg, les fondations culturelles, les sponsors et les donateurs, et surtout les nombreux.ses artistes et notre public.

Nous attendons avec impatience les 15 prochaines années !

🇬🇧 Fundamental is giving the Monodrama Festival a new look!

For 15 years, you recognised us by the same image. Now there is a new layout, which not only represents a new skin for the festival, but also reflects the changes that are currently happening within Fundamental.

For example, the Monodrama Festival finally has its own website, setting it apart from our other activities. Further changes will follow.

I would like to take this turning point as an opportunity to thank the partners who have supported and enabled our development over the years: the Ministry of Culture and the City of Luxembourg, the cultural foundations, sponsors and donors, and, most importantly, the many artists and our audience.

We look forward to the next 15 years!
