𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱

𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱
Boys in the Sand, a male trio by choreographer Adi Schwarz, explores softness, fragility and femininity within the male body. Inspired by Wakefield Poole’s 1971 film of the same name, considered a pioneering work of gay cinema, the piece explores intimacy and questions the taboos surrounding certain expressions of love and desire. The choreography does not reproduce the film’s sexual content, but instead draws inspiration from the sensations it conveys.
𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
A collaboration between Rita Góbi and Ryuji Yamaguchi, Vibration explores the encounter between two bodies, moving between attraction and repulsion. In a world of red and orange, the two performers move as if caught within a magnetic field. They come closer, pull apart and vibrate through irregular movements and ever-growing tension. A physical and visual piece in which dance becomes a language of its own.
