Happy to share the new acquisition to our collection — Rapture III by Ukrainian artist Sana Shahmuradova Tanska, arriving directly from MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków, where the artist’s recent solo exhibition The Rapture was presented.

Tanska’s practice intertwines themes of dreams, collective memory, and intergenerational trauma. Her paintings are marked by organic forms, luminous color palettes, and an almost mythological visual language in which human figures merge with nature and imagined landscapes. Responding to the realities of contemporary Ukraine, the artist creates deeply emotional, multilayered works that explore vulnerability, transformation, and resilience.

Last week, the TAAD Foundation team visited the opening of the 61st Venice Biennale — a week filled with unforgettable exhibitions and conversations that will stay with us long after leaving Venice.
Here are some of our top picks from this year’s Biennale and the exhibitions unfolding across the city:

Proud moment: a work from Paulo Nazareth’s For Sale series is currently on view at the Pinault Collection’s Punta della Dogana in Venice, as part of his major solo exhibition Algebra — and we hold the first edition of this photograph here in Lithuania.

Naujas kūrinys mūsų kolekcijoje! Jaime Welsh „Ascension", 2025, kuris šiuo metu yra eksponuojamas jo personalinėje parodoje Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado, Lisabonoje, Portugalijoje.

Lisabonos gyvybingoje meno scenoje Jaime Welsh pristato parodą „The Gift“ Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea - MNAC — tai pirmoji jo personalinė paroda Portugalijos Nacionaliniame muziejuje. Gimęs Lisabonoje 1994 m., jis šiuo metu gyvenana ir kuria Londone,
Jaime Welsh išsiskiria kaip vienas įtaigiausių savo kartos menininkų. Pradėjęs nuo tapybos, jis savo kūryboje remiasi kruopščiu tyrimu, scenų konstravimu ir postprodukcija, kurdamas vaizdus, kuriuose susilieja kinematografiška atmosfera ir klinikinis tikslumas. Jo darbuose dažnai nagrinėjama, kaip architektūra ir interjero erdvės gali atspindėti galią, kontrolę ir psichologinę įtampą — temas, iš dalies susijusias su jo patirtimi augant homoseksualiu asmeniu konservatyvioje aplinkoje.

Jo darbai buvo eksponuojami svarbiose institucijose, tokiose kaip Saatchi Gallery Londone, taip pat jie saugomi viešose kolekcijose, įskaitant Calouste Gulbenkian Museum ir MACE (António Cachola) kolekciją.
