Non/Living Matters: On Posthumanising Art Practice
Tarptautinio simpoziumo programoje – paskaita, nagrinėjanti posthumanizmo ir šiuolaikinio meno sankirtas. Pranešime bus aptariama, kaip šiuolaikinės ekologinės krizės ir technologijų raida skatina permąstyti žmogaus, gyvybės ir nežmogiškų subjektų sampratas.
Remiantis biomeno pavyzdžiais, paskaitoje analizuojama „non/living“ (nei gyva / nei negyva) samprata, atskleidžianti ribų tarp gyvybės ir mirties, augimo ir irimo trapumą. Taip pat keliami klausimai apie žmogaus santykį su technologijomis, kontrolę, atsakomybę bei etinius ryšius su daugiau-nei-žmogišku pasauliu.
👩🏫 Apie pranešėją:
Marietta Radomska – aplinkos humanitarikos profesorė Linköpingo universitete, „Eco- and Bioart Lab“ direktorė, biomeno tyrėja ir filosofė. Jos tyrimai apima posthumanizmą, bioartą, q***r death studies ir šiuolaikinį meną. Ji yra monografijos „Uncontainable Life: A Biophilosophy of Bioart„ (2016) autorė bei tarptautinių publikacijų bendraautorė.

Non/Living Matters: On Posthumanising Art Practice
As part of the international symposium programme, this lecture explores the intersections of posthumanism and contemporary art. It will examine how current ecological crises and rapid technological developments encourage us to rethink concepts of the human, life, and nonhuman subjects.
Drawing on examples from bioart, the lecture analyses the concept of the “non/living,” revealing the fragility of boundaries between life and death, growth and decay. It also raises questions about human relationships with technology, control, responsibility, and ethical engagement with the more-than-human world.
👩🏫 About the speaker:
Marietta Radomska is Associate Professor of Environmental Humanities at Linköping University, director of the Eco- and Bioart Lab, and a researcher and philosopher of bioart. Her work focuses on posthumanism, bioart, q***r death studies, and contemporary art. She is the author of "Uncontainable Life: A Biophilosophy of Bioart" (2016) and co-author of numerous international publications.
