European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope (ESO VLT) imaged the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS on 3 July 2025. The Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) telescope in Río Hurtado, Chile, discovered the 3I/ATLAS object that originated from interstellar space on 1 July 2025.

Omuamua presents Lorenzo Lunghi's solo exhibition 'Oxyneed!’. His work lies at the intersection of technology and the human psyche; delving into the concealed threats of a world under constant surveillance, where self-perception oscillates between distorted awareness and paranoid alienation. The sculptures operate as contemporary observation tools, magnifying glasses and mirrors that warped perception, whilst simultaneously embodying parasitic entities that act as silent witnesses.

Omuamua è lieta di presentare la mostra personale di Lorenzo Lunghi "Oxyneed!". Le opere si collocano nell'intersezione tra tecnologia e psiche umana: si confrontano con le minacce nascoste di un mondo sempre più sorvegliato, dove la paranoia e l'ego prendono il sopravvento. Le sculture sono intese quindi come strumenti di osservazione del contemporaneo, lenti di ingrandimento e specchi che distorcono lo sguardo, ma allo stesso tempo appaiono come entità parassitarie che agiscono come testimoni silenziosi.

Air has neither place nor time (...) The future is ahead and behind and to either side. A perceived gateway dissolves into a misty network of diverging paths, giving way to a labyrinthine expanse. This domain exceeds singularity. Its transient geographies compel one to meet several dead ends between the entrance and exit opposing poles, to maneuver arbitrarily amidst cartographies of cyanotype imprints of foam covering the surfaces of translucent fabric sheets.

Mediating on the experience of space and borders, Virginia Dal Magro (b. 1994, Milano) formulates phantom chambers and corridors enclosed by soft walls that double as safe havens for those who enter to inhabit them. Wandering through this diaphanous cloth maze perhaps mirrors the act of decision-making, as each choice of direction, each moment lingered in hollow spaces – as if suspended in mid-air or adrift underwater in tranquil stillness – is personal to the individual and may profoundly influence their trajectory. Whether those are inherent thresholds found in the organic world or imposed limits created or enforced by external factors, such as societal norms, cultural expectations, or institutional regulations, Dal Magro considers landscape constraints with regards to the living body roaming, traversing and populating voids. What usually functions as an antechamber turns into a multifaceted portal of sorts, allowing for ‘bioluminescent’ patterns to embrace and guide disoriented seekers towards revelation.

By hybridizing the green screen technology with a traditional archaeological / ethnorgraphic museum display, Omuamua Legacy proposes a physical / digital window open on a parallel universe, an alien presence in public space, able to connect the routine of the passer-by to phenomena and information continuously change coming simultaneously from cosmic space, urban space and the internet.
