Germany Greatest Soviet Unions Enemy.
In 1939,Adolph Hitler the Nazi dictator of Germany, signed a non-aggression pact with Soviet Union. This was a major surprise, because up to this time, Germany had been the Soviet Union's greatest enemy.
The result of this was that Hitler was free to fight the second world war without having to worry about being attacked from the east. When,in 1914 Hitler broke this pact and invaded and conquered vast tracts of the Soviet Union, Stalin joined the allies (Britain and United States)in their fight against Germany.
After immense suffering and the deaths of millions of Russians, the Germany Invaders were expelled from Russian soil and Stalin was thus able to take his place at the international conference at which the victors celebrated their success.
Uncle Joe Stalin,as he was known, and the Russian people had became heroes in the eyes of many in Britain and United States, but they were ignorant of the brutality and tyranny that lay behind Stalin's Communist regime.
