FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Miss Liberia First Runner-Up Suspended Following Investigative Hearing
Monrovia, April 4, 2025 – Following a formal investigative hearing into the alleged assault involving Miss Kindness Wilson, during which she fully participated and provided her account of the incident, the Miss Liberia Organization has determined that her actions constitute a breach of Section 5G of the contract she signed upon entering the pageant.
In light of this finding, and in consultation with the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism (MICAT)—the official host and franchise holder—XL-Entertainment has made the decision to suspend Miss Wilson from her role as First Runner-Up, effective immediately for a period of 90 days.
As corrective measures, Miss Wilson will undertake community service, serve as the face of an anti-violence campaign, and receive counseling for anger management. She has acknowledged her breach of contract, accepted responsibility, and has committed to working collaboratively with the Miss Liberia Organization, the Pageantry Union of Liberia, and MICAT moving forward.
The Miss Liberia Organization remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the integrity of the pageant and preserving the values associated with our national heritage and symbols, which the Miss Liberia Pageant proudly represents.
In collaboration with MICAT, further steps will be taken to maintain these standards. Additional updates will be provided as the process continues.
