The President of the Liberia Movie Union will on tomorrow June 18, 2026 depart for Free Town Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 to attend the Sierra Leone Film Guild and Labour Union Official Launch.
This high invitation comes after the historic joint Co-Production Treaty between the Liberia Film Industry and Sierra Leone’s.
Both Countries are expected to host their first joint meeting in Free Town after the ceremony to discuss their first joint project.
The President will be traveling with High level delegates from the government and his leadership.

The 3rd day of training began with intensive Actors’ vocal exercises for Articulation and clarity in speech, breathing control, various parts of the body that sounds come from and pitch. An interactive session carried out by LIMU’ President.

The President Mr. Abdul-karim Sheriff welcomed Mr. Stevenson Seidi, Deputy Director General Designate for Cultural Heritage and Creative Economy and Mr. Emmanuel B Lavelah Sr. Director of culture of the Liberia National Tourism Authority at the office of the Liberia Movie Union today where they discussed pertinent issues relating to the Industry.

The Deputy Director designate expressed his appreciation for the level of leadership exemplified by LIMU and encouraged them not to give up. He further stressed his deep desire in helping for the industry to develop but would require our continued commitment and cooperation with the LNTA.

The President in closing emphasized on the need for international exposure and exchange for Liberian Filmmakers, consistent capacity building and quality equipment.

The Leadership would love to highly appreciate Mr. Seidi and Mr. Lavalah for the visit

Phase 1:

* ⁠Submission runs from June 15- July 15, 2026.

* ⁠All videos submitted will be uploaded on the page, your talent will go for 60 points. Audience’s reactions, comments and shares on your video will go for 40 points.

* ⁠25 Participants will qualify for Phase 2.
