J Flow

Born Josephine A. Wisseh, hails from the Kru speaking tribe of Liberia. She was born to the union of Mr. Joseph Wisseh and Madame Anna Komroh. The Dark-skinned, dreadlocked female artist is the only child of her parents. Due to the sudden and unfortunate death of her father, things became very difficult and as a young teenager, J flow found herself in the street striving to survive. She discovered her musical talent initially through street dancing. Her story, lifestyle, struggle, hustle, love for life and what she represents starting emerging in her music as she grew up. She went from the church choir into a secular musician with an all-girls musical group called Black Angels. After Black Angels got dissolved, the talented artist got her motivation and support from a lot of well-wishers to stand on her own. One of her motivators has been Dyers Myers, the Hipco Godfather. J flow believes in the empowerment of women and the expression of arts through her music. Although she’s humble and down to earth, she’s is also a strong, fierce woman. Her art is a true expression of her life expressed through music. J flow recently decided to work with Legend Musik, a newly established record label with the slogan, “Bringing Music to Life” Legend Musik looks to blend real-life situations and music—creating expressions everyone will be able to relate to.
