Vick’s Inn: Rising Again, Stronger and Proudly Liberian
There was a time when Caldwell came alive every weekend. Music filled the air, laughter echoed across the poolside, and families, friends, and lovers gathered to celebrate life. That joy lived in one place, Vick’s Inn Bar and Guest House, a homegrown dream that gave Liberians a reason to smile.
Vick’s Inn was never just a business. It was a vision born from love for country and community, a place built by Liberians, for Liberians. We wanted to prove that comfort, class, and entertainment don’t have to come from abroad. We wanted our people to see that a Liberian dream could stand tall among the rest.
And it did. From the start, Vick’s Inn stood proudly beside foreign-owned entertainment centers. Our pool was clean, safe, and modern. Our bar was alive with energy. We offered the same quality experience that others did, sometimes even better, but at a price every Liberian could afford.
Then came the storm. Whispers. Criticism. Doubt. Some said we were not safe. Some said we were not good enough. And painfully, these words came not from outsiders, but from our own. The same people we served began to question what we worked so hard to build.
But we did not give up. We stood strong because we believe in Liberia. We believe in our people. We believe in second chances.
Today, though the music may have softened and the poolside may not be as crowded, the dream still lives. We are building something bigger, something that will once again make Caldwell proud. Our upcoming 50-bedroom hotel is almost complete, a new chapter in our story of resilience.
Vick’s Inn is not down. We are rising, higher, stronger, and prouder. We are here to remind every Liberian that we can build our own success stories, that our hands, our dreams, and our love for this country can create beauty.
To those who once celebrated with us, and even to those who doubted us, we say thank you. Because every voice, every challenge, every moment has made us better.
Vick’s Inn will soon reopen its doors, brighter than ever, ready to bring joy back to Caldwell.
Vick’s Inn, built by Liberians, loved by Liberians, rising for Liberia.
