Millions of people in Sri Lanka and surrounding areas have been impacted by Cyclone Ditwah. Rotary members are providing urgent relief.

The Rotary Foundation has launched the Cyclone Ditwah Response Fund to support these efforts.

Rotary made a promise to the children of the world that no child should suffer the consequences of this vaccine-preventable disease.

Poliomyelitis is a highly infectious disease that most commonly affects children under the age of 5.

Most know it as poliovirus. The virus is spread person to person, typically through contaminated water. It can attack the nervous system, and in some instances, lead to paralysis. Although there is no cure, there is a safe and effective vaccine – one which Rotary and our partners use to immunize over 2.5 billion children worldwide.

Joint project of Rotary PanColombo and Colombo Central.

On the 1st of October, custom-made spectacles made after screening 100 needy people of Kolonnawa divisional secatariat area . PanColombo found a donor for the above project, and Colombo Central came up with generous donations to fulfil the requirement and to successfully carry out the project.

This was carried out as a joint project, and nearly 24 people were referred to hospitals for cataract surgeries and for necessary care.
