Well, then look no further than “CREATIVE PLAYHOUSE”, located in Borella, Colombo 8 and Wattala. and now open to occupy your little ones aged 5-12 with an entire world of arts and crafts that is sure to keep them busy with hands-on educational activities to encourage creativity and enjoyment in your little ones for at least a few hours through the day. A relatively new concept to be implemented in Sri Lanka by Mrs. Monica de Lanerolle (a mother and grandmother herself), she manages to combine two of her passions – children and craftwork – into a marvelous new venture that is addressing a much desired need; offline entertainment for kids who are growing up in the relatively fast paced digital age we currently live in. Whether it’s for your child to breakout of limitations, or it’s a last minute appointment that you cannot avoid, or it’s the holiday period and you are out of ideas as to keep your kids out of trouble and entertained, head on over to CREATIVE PLAYHOUSE – A Creative Playhouse managed by an experienced, capable and imaginative lady who is sure to show them how you used to occupy your time before game consoles and mobile phones! CREATIVE PLAYHOUSE is where you can safely drop the children off, for some hours, with the full knowledge that they will be creatively occupied and safely minded too. Monica has a way with young ones and fine control of any and every situation. At CREATIVE PLAYHOUSE your little one will have access to a host of natural and premium materials that will allow them to paint and draw, mold and make anything their imagination can conjure up; especially paper craft with a myriad of embellishments guided by the ingenuity, energy and passion of Monica herself – an established craft artiste with exhibitions and regular sales. Additionally this will be an opportunity for kids to try their hand at a host of unusual creative projects that would be too messy to try at home or alone, always under a parents/guardians permission or supervision of course. CREATIVE PLAYHOUSE can be found in the heart of Colombo AT Minds Alive located at 17/5, Kuruppu Lane, Borella, Colombo 8 and its opening times are from 12 noon to 5.30 pm on weekdays. Over the weekend @ the work studio @ 457/6, Negombo Road, Wattala from 10 .am to 5pm, and in an effort to better serve you and your little one, its services are available by appointment. CREATIVE PLAYHOUSE also allows for regularly scheduled craft-dates and permanent arrangements (especially through the school holiday period) that will entertain and educate your kids for a few hours each day. Please also note that CREATIVE PLAYHOUSE is not a school in any form or manner. We can also be found at The Good Market. We are available to undertake any holiday or school programs. Monica has conducted Craft Classes for the holiday programs at Cinnamon Grand, Milk & Honey and Minds Alive with amazing results. Each session which lasts approximately 2 hours.
