I just want to share my EV road trip experience I had from Colombo → Pasikuda → Colombo on JUST 2 CHARGES ⚡🚗

Started my journey from Pannipitiya with a full charge (410KM) in my Dongfeng Vigo EV.

Reached Polonnaruwa via Dambulla with 100KM still left 😮

Charge #1:
🔋⚡ Crown Mall Polonnaruwa → back up to 400KM (Cost me about
Then:
→ Drove to Pasikuda
→ Night trip to Kattankudy & back
→ Daily drives + hotel stay (Amanda Beach Resort)
→ Next day drove to Anantaya Resort and Spa Passikuda

Charge #2:
🔋⚡ Hotel top-up (9 hours with my travel charger (Anantaya hotel did it for free)

From that single charge:
→ Pasikuda → Polonnaruwa (stopped at Parakrama Samudraya)
→ Habarana route
→ Colombo (Modara drop)
→ Back to Pannipitiya

🔋⚡ Reached home with 50KM STILL LEFT
✅ TOTAL CHARGES: 2
✅ Full East Coast trip + city driving
✅ Still had charge to spare

Total charging cost was about LKR8000-LKR15,000. This is not “can EVs travel?” anymore…
