Observational Drawing —

In discussing the perceptual and cognitive aspects of art Robert Solos writes, " Mind and art are one." When we create or experience art, in a very real sense we have the clearest view of the mind.

This got me interested in conducting research on observational drawing – the cognitive and the psychological process behind it and how this can be used as a practice of healing emotional triggers and clients diagnosed with PTSD or potential clients. I believe this practice can be used as a method of 'prevention before cure' since it appears to be a natural healing process for humans with stress, anxiety, depression or burnout.

The speciality of this is observational drawing with nature. The sounds of nature behind this moment brings all the feelings and emotions together creating an atmosphere for the mind and body to focus, relax and reawaken. This is a form of free therapy.
