From the Shields of Protection series.

The name Madhavi has a historical connection to the Mahabharata. I also have a personal connection to the name, as it is my mother’s name. I’ve painted her gaze a few times, and this is another one from that series.

She became one of the foundational works of this series, representing something I can never forget in terms of protection the protector of my childhood.

I might paint her occasionally.
