La speciale celebrazione per Goagil non sarà semplicemente una festa.
Sarà un viaggio nel tempo. Un rituale. Un ritorno alle roots della cultura psichedelica.
Rivivremo l’energia dei giorni leggendari di Goa, quando sulle spiagge di Vagator, Anjuna e Disco Valley nasceva qualcosa destinato a cambiare per sempre la storia della musica elettronica: la Goa Trance, la madre della Psytrance.
Per onorare questa storia, vi presentiamo uno dei selector che quegli anni li ha vissuti e creati davvero:
DOCTOR VAGATOR
Pioniere, ambasciatore psichedelico e custode del sound underground di Goa dagli anni d’oro della scena. Un artista che ha attraversato i dancefloor storici di Vagator e le leggendarie notti goane, collezionando nel tempo una vasta archive di DAT originali conservati in modo impeccabile.
Ma cos’erano i D.A.T.?
Prima dei CDJ, delle USB e dei laptop, a Goa i DJ utilizzavano i DAT (Digital Audio Tape). Negli anni ’90 erano il formato ideale: qualità sonora elevata, profonda e potente, perfetta per i rituali musicali sulle spiagge di Goa.
A Goa venivano preferiti ai vinili perché non si trovava facilmente musica in grande quantità su vinile e, soprattutto, per la sabbia e per la qualità sonora superiore, più pulita e intensa nelle lunghe sessioni psichedeliche. Così i DAT sono diventati il cuore della scena Goa Trance.
Anche Goagil ha continuato a suonare con i Digital Audio Tape fino agli ultimi anni, restando fedele a quel suono autentico e a quel modo old school di vivere il viaggio musicale psichedelico. Per lui non era nostalgia, ma una filosofia sonora.
Ed è proprio da quella tradizione che nasce l’esperienza che vivremo insieme.
Doctor Vagator ci porterà un original DAT set, con tutte le tracce storiche collezionate nel corso degli anni.
Un’esperienza autentica.
Un pezzo vivente della storia della Psytrance.

The special celebration for Goagil will not simply be a party.
It will be a journey through time. A ritual. A return to the roots of psychedelic culture.
We will relive the energy of the legendary days of Goa, when on the beaches of Vagator, Anjuna, and Disco Valley something was born that would forever change the history of electronic music: Goa Trance, the mother of Psytrance.
To honor this history, we present one of the selectors who truly lived and shaped those years:
DOCTOR VAGATOR
A pioneer, psychedelic ambassador, and custodian of Goa’s underground sound from the golden years of the scene. An artist who moved through the historic dancefloors of Vagator and the legendary Goan nights, collecting over time a vast archive of original DATs preserved in impeccable condition.
But what were D.A.T.s?
Before CDJs, USBs, and laptops, DJs in Goa used DATs (Digital Audio Tape). In the 90s, they were the ideal format: high-quality, deep, and powerful sound, perfect for musical rituals on the beaches of Goa.
In Goa, they were preferred over vinyl because it was difficult to find a wide selection of music on vinyl and, above all, because of the sand and the superior sound quality, cleaner and more powerful during long psychedelic sessions. Thus, DATs became the heart of the Goa Trance scene.
Goagil himself continued to play using Digital Audio Tape until recent years, remaining faithful to that authentic sound and to that old-school way of experiencing the psychedelic musical journey. For him, it was not nostalgia, but a sound philosophy.
And it is from that tradition that the experience we will share together is born.
Doctor Vagator will bring an original DAT set, featuring all the historical tracks collected over the years.
