On 29th September 2026, AHK Sri Lanka hosted its 3rd quarterly Legal & Tax Sector Committee Meeting online in collaboration with Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) and Rödl India.

Featuring insights from Mr. Florian Wenke (GTAI) and Mr. Anand Khetan (Rödl India), the session explored the agreement’s implications for Sri Lankan businesses, including export competitiveness, sourcing opportunities and evolving supply chains.

The presentations were followed by an engaging discussion on emerging opportunities and how businesses can prepare for potential changes.

On 28 September 2026, B. Braun Lanka (Pvt) Ltd successfully hosted AHK Sri Lanka’s Q3 HR Sector Committee Meeting at its office premises located at the World Trade Center - Colombo. The meeting focused on “𝗛𝗥 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗦𝗚 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆.”

Ms. Roshali Nakandala, Head of Human Resources & Corporate Communication at B. Braun Lanka, shared how the company brings sustainability into its people’s strategy. Her insightful presentation led to an engaging exchange on employee initiatives, company culture, cross-border career development and the use of AI in HR.

AHK Sri Lanka’s Chief Delegate, Mr. Martin Klose, also introduced a planned Job Fair combined with a Christmas Market at the Goethe-Institute, in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute and DAAD. Taking place in December, the event will provide companies with a valuable opportunity to connect with students from PASCH schools and learners enrolled in the Goethe-Institute’s German language courses. It will serve as a platform for companies to engage with young, motivated talent, introduce their organisations, and explore potential career and employment opportunities with future graduates.

A selection of finger food and refreshments, complemented by thoughtfully curated gifts reflecting the ESG theme, provided a fitting and memorable conclusion to the meeting.
