Program Description
Red Apple International Theatre Gathering proudly presents the International Youth Theatre Camp; a global residential theatre experience designed for 15 selected youth theatre practitioners from around the world.
This intensive camp aims to bring together young theatre artists, directors, actors, and educators to explore contemporary theatre practices, Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA), Theatre in Education (TIE), movement theatre, devised theatre, and intercultural performance methodologies.
Hosted in Sri Lanka, the camp will serve as a platform for:
• Cultural exchange
• Collaborative creation
• Artistic research
• Leadership development
• Global networking
Participants will engage in workshops, collaborative devising sessions, masterclasses, cultural immersion activities, and the creation of a final showcase performance.
We provide – Accommodation | Food | Local transportation for 10 days (We are not bearing the International Airfare to CMB)
🎯 Objectives
• To promote international youth theatre collaboration
• To develop leadership in young theatre practitioners
• To exchange global theatre methodologies
• To explore TYA & TIE practices in an intercultural context
• To create a short-devised performance as a final outcome
👥 Participant Profile
We invite applications from:
• Youth theatre directors
• Actors (Age 18–30)
• Theatre educators
• TIE / TYA practitioners
• Movement or devised theatre artists
Applicants must:
• Have at least 2 years of theatre experience
• Be able to communicate in English
• Be open to intercultural collaboration

📅 Program Structure (10 Days) – 7 Working Day + 3 Free days + 3 Online programs
Day 1 – Arrival & Cultural Welcome
Day 2 – Movement & Physical Theatre Lab
Day 3 – Theatre in Education Practice
Day 4 – Devised Theatre & Concept Development
Day 5 – Intercultural Performance Creation
Day 6 – Rehearsal & Reflection
Day 7 – Final Showcase & Certification
📌 Entry Rules & Regulations
1. Only 10 participants will be selected worldwide.
2. Participants must submit a completed application form.
3. A short video introduction (2–3 minutes) is mandatory.
4. Participants must hold valid travel documents.
5. Selected participants must confirm participation within 7 days of acceptance.
6. Full or partial program fees (if applicable) must be paid before arrival.
7. Participants must respect cultural diversity and Red Apple ethical guidelines.
8. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or misconduct will result in dismissal.
9. Participants must attend all sessions fully.
10. Red Apple International Theatre Gathering reserves the right to make final decisions.
